Did you ever read the books, Muff? I did when I was in high school and loved them.

There are quite a bit of changes that they made and I'm not happy about them but I'll have to suck it up. The promos look good.

I've never read the books but as a Twilight and True Blood fan, I'm looking forward to this show.  Plus I love the guy Ian, from Lost, who is playing one of the brothers.

Can you share a brief re-cap of the story?   :clapping:

I recommend that you read the books, Alex. I think you'll like them if you're a Twilight/ True Blood fan. (I don't know much about True Blood - I don't have HBO *sigh*)

Recap . . . sure!

It's basically about two vampire brothers, Damon (who will be played by Ian) and his brother Stefan. Stefan meets Elena and at first pushes her away. Elena is a blonde/blue eyed girl in the books who has a very feisty personality (could be described as bitchy LOL). She notices that Stefan rejects her and it pushes her harder to get him. It turns out that he's rejecting her because she looks like his long ago dead love, Katherine and he doesn't want to give in to his desires for her. Katherine was also involved with Damon too. Damon and Stefan didn't always get along as brothers but because of Katherine and her being with both, it caused them to hate each other.

I don't want to give too much away just in case you decide to read the books. If you want more details, I can give them :)

hey babe, nope never read the books, like Alex the only reason this show came on my radar was because of Ian, so damn hot
They've done the same thing with True Blood, the characters are there, but the series is not following the books, from what I've read, speaking of TB, doesn't matter if you don't have HBO, check this out, links to all the episodes
